BGSU Men's Basketball Announces Orange And Brown Scrimmage On Oct. 16

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball program has announced that the annual Orange and Brown Scrimmage will be held on Sunday, Oct. 16 at the Stroh Center. The scrimmage is currently set for a 3:00 p.m. tip-off. The event will be free and open to the public.Â
The Falcons will enter the 2022-23 season with a new look roster, consisting of seven newcomers and eight returners. Five seniors will return for the Falcons with Samari Curtis, Isaac Elsasser, Brenton Mills, Gabe O'Neal and Chandler Turner. Sophomores Kaden Metheny and Jackson Watson along with redshirt freshman Ubongabasi Etim will round out the returners for the Orange and Brown.
As for the newcomers, the Falcons will welcome three freshmen and four transfers to the fold this season. Senior guard Leon Ayers III joins the Falcons from Duquesne while senior forward Madani Diarra arrives from Indian Hills CC. The junior class will welcome two forwards with Sam Towns coming from Ohio and Rashaun Agee joining from Casper College. As for the freshman class, Jamai Felt will be the lone forward and will be joined by guards Willie Lightfoot and Anthony McComb III.Â
The Falcons will have two exhibitions before the start of the season, traveling to face West Virginia on Oct. 28 and hosting Mansfield on Nov. 1. The official start to the 2022-23 season is slated for Nov. 7 when the Falcons welcome Air Force to the Stroh Center, scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start.Â
