Scoring Plays
- Ferris State found the net first, with two minutes left in the first period. After a faceoff win, Nick Nardecchia fired a shot on goal. Christian Stoever was able to get a piece of it with his glove, but it fluttered above and behind him, landing in the net. Stepan Pokorny, who won the faceoff, had the lone assist.
- Early in the second period, the Bulldogs extended the lead. After winning a faceoff in their offensive zone, they fired a pair of shots at Stoever, who made the saves. The puck sat in the crease as several players poked at it, then it eventually found its way to Drew Cooper at the point. He passed it to Caiden Gault, who turned from inside the right dot and fired a shot for the second goal. Cooper and Zach Faremouth had the assists.
- After several minutes of skating without a stoppage, the Bulldogs scored near the midpoint of the third period. As the Falcons looked to move the puck into their zone, Blake Evennou intercepted the puck in the neutral zone. He came down the right side and shot from inside the circle, going five-hole for FSU's third goal.
- Late in the third period, the Falcons pulled Stoever and added an extra skater during a 4-on-4 session. Both teams returned to full strength, but the Falcons kept the extra man on and continued to attack. Chase Gresock passed it from the top of the left circle to the dot, hitting Austen Swankler. He sent it right back, then Gresock fired a shot into traffic. It was redirected into the net by Nathan Burke for his third goal of the weekend. Gresock and Swankler had the assists.
- With under a minute remaining, Ferris State secured the win with an empty net score. The puck found its way to Antonio Venuto at the top of the BGSU offensive zone and he sent it down the ice and into the net. Assists went to Nardecchia and Cooper.
- Nathan Burke scored his third goal of the weekend, giving him five on the season. He has scored all five in the previous five games. He has seven points on the season and 58 in his collegiate career. As a Falcon, the forward has 21 goals and 30 points.
- Austen Swankler tallied his fifth assist of the season, giving him a team-high 13 points. The sophomore has a career line of 16 goals and 23 assists for 39 points.
- Chase Gresock notched his team-best eighth assist of the season. He has 11 points this year, ranking second on the team. In his career, the forward has 46 assists and 84 points.
- Christian Stoever spent 56:58 in net and stopped 26-of-29 shots.
- The Falcons continued their dominance on the penalty kill, going 4-for-4 on the night. They have not allowed a power play goal in the last 22 chances.
