Bowling Green Back From Break, Slated to Skate in the Soo

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The Bowling Green Falcons (6-8-0, 5-5-0 CCHA) return from a weekend off with a road series against conference opponent Lake Superior State (1-9-2, 0-5-1 CCHA). The first game will be played on Friday, Dec. 2, at 7:07 p.m. ET. The second game starts at 6:07 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 3. Both contests will be played at Taffy Abel Arena.

The Lakers are searching for their first win in conference play, holding a 0-5-1 record through their first three series. Their tie came against Michigan Tech and they nabbed the second point with a shootout victory. Louis Boudon paces LSSU with eight points on the year, sharing the team lead in goals with Dawson Tritt (4). Boudon, a senior forward, was an All-CCHA Second Team selection and was named Preseason All-CCHA this season. Boudon earned CCHA Forward of the Week in October after recording three goals and one assist in the Lakers' series against Clarkson, which featured their lone win of the season. Junior defenseman Jacob Bengtsson, who was also named All-CCHA Second Team last year and Preseason All-CCHA this year, leads the team in assists (5) and blocked shots (15). Ethan Langenegger has spent the majority of the time in net, holding a .911 save percentage and 2.59 goals against average.

Falcon Facts
- Christian Stoever was named CCHA Goaltender of the Month for his November performance, which included a four-game win streak and one shutout. He recorded a 1.86 GAA and .945 save percentage while stopping 43-of-44 power play shots. Stoever averages a CCHA-high 31.55 saves per game and ranks third in the conference with 347 total saves.
- On Nov. 21, Nathan Burke was named CCHA Forward of the Week. In the Ferris State series, he tallied three goals and one assist, including his first multi-goal game of the season. He added the assist on the same night, matching his career-high with three points. He also scored the game-winning goal, his first of the season.
- Burke was one of six Falcons to tally multiple points in the Nov. 18 win, the most in a single game this season. Taylor Schneider and Zach Vinnell each had a pair of assists, marking Vinnell's first and Schneider's third multi-point effort of the season. Schneider leads the team with nine career multi-assist games and is tied with Max Coyle for the team lead in multi-assist games this season (2). He has 20 career multi-point performances, tying Alex Barber for the team lead.
- Barber also had two points against FSU, tallying a goal and an assist. This was his second multi-point game of the year. Also notching a goal and assist were Austen Swankler and Chase Gresock. Swankler and Schneider are tied for the team lead in multi-point games at three apiece. Swankler leads the Falcons in goals (8) and points (13), while Gresock paces them in assists (8).
- Bowling Green has not allowed a power play goal in the last 22 chances, bringing their penalty kill percentage to .827, ranking 19th in the NCAA. During this stretch, they have scored six power play goals, with Burke and Ethan Scardina netting two apiece.
