Offensive Onslaught Earns Falcons First Home Win

Bowling Green scores six total goals, three come on power play
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green Falcons (3-7-0, 2-4-0 CCHA) earned their first home victory of the season, taking a 6-1 game over the Michigan Tech Huskies (5-3-1, 1-2-1 CCHA). The Falcons allowed the game's first goal late in the first period, but responded with two goals in the span of 11 seconds. Ethan Scardina netted his second power play goal of the year, pushing his goal total to four. After the ensuing faceoff, Adam Pitters notched his second goal of the year, which proved to be the game-winner.
In the second frame, Austen Swankler scored his team-best sixth goal of the season, then Nathan Burke added to the lead with his first score of the year, which came on the power play. Late in the third, Michigan Tech took a timeout and pulled their goaltender. The Falcons won the faceoff then extended the lead with a Taylor Schneider empty-net goal. It was scored while the Orange and Brown had a man in the box, marking Schneider's second shorthanded score of the season. To cap the night, freshman Jaden Grant lit the lamp for the first time in his career, scoring on the power play to bring the game to its eventual final at 6-1. In net, Christian Stoever stopped 36 of 37 shots, including 15 in the opening period.

- Chase Gresock notched his first multi-point game as a Falcon, tallying two assists. He has five assists and seven points on the year, with a career total of 43 helpers and 80 points.
- Brayden Krieger had two assists to earn his first career multi-point effort. The sophomore has five assists on the season and 10 in his career.
- Max Coyle earned his second career multi-assist game, pushing his season point total to five. The defenseman has 15 career points.
- Adam Pitters scored his second goal of the year and second career game-winning goal. In 85 games, he has scored six goals and accumulated 19 points.
- Nathan Burke's goal was his first of the season and 30th of his career. It was a power play score, giving him nine in his collegiate career. He has 53 career points.
- Ethan Scardina scored his fourth goal of the year, giving him five points. He has 10 goals and nine assists in his career. The goal was on the power play, marking the fourth of his career.
- Jaden Grant scored his first career goal, which came on the power play.
- Ben Wozney and Zach Vinnell each recorded their second assist of the season. Vinnell has 35 career points and Wozney has six.
- Ryan O'Hara recorded an assist, his second of the season. The sophomore has six points this year.
