Falcons' Brief Road Trip Set To Conclude Saturday Against RedHawks

OXFORD, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball program will continue a two-game stretch on the road this Saturday (Feb. 12) in Oxford, Ohio, facing the Miami RedHawks. The game is currently set for a 3:30 p.m. tip-off at Millett Hall, marking the 14th of 20 MAC games this season for BGSU. The game between the Falcons and RedHawks will be available to stream on ESPN3. Fans can also tune in to the action via radio on WFRO Eagle 99. The Falcons and RedHawks will be meeting for the second time this season after Bowling Green won the first matchup in overtime, 87-83. In the first game, Daeqwon Plowden led the way with 27 points and 10 rebounds for the Falcons. Joe Reece added 20 points and 10 rebounds of his own for a pair of BGSU double-doubles. All-time, Miami leads the series with a record of 88-59 against BGSU. As for games played in Oxford, the RedHawks hold the advantage at 50-18.Â

Matching Up With MiamiÂ
Since the last meeting between Bowling Green and Miami, the RedHawks have gone 3-7 with two wins over Western Michigan and an overtime victory against Northern Illinois. This time around the Falcons will look slow down Dae Dae Grant and Dalonte Brown. The duo combined for 50 of Miami's 83 points in the last meeting, being a combined 18-of-46 (39.1%) from the field and 11-of-29 (37.9%) from behind the arc.
Overtime?
The last two meetings between the Falcons and RedHawks has resulted in overtime. During the 2020-21 season, Miami won an 84-79 final in extra time. However, this year it was the Falcons who were victorious in the extra period, winning 87-83. Both BGSU and Miami are 1-1 in overtime games this season.Â
Kulackovskis In The Starting LineupÂ
Matiss Kulackovskis has joined the Bowling Green starting the lineup the last three games and is settling into the starting role. Last time out against Kent State, Kulackovskis posted 14 points along with six rebounds. Over the last three games, all starts, Kulackovskis is averaging 8.3 points and five rebounds per game. This has all come during a career-year for Kulackovksis. Entering Saturday he could set single season-highs for his career in multiple stats, needing 13 points, seven rebounds, a block and an assist in each category.
