Falcons Look for Sweep of Battle of I-75

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University swim team looks to notch another win against the University of Toledo Rockets on Saturday. The meet, which will take place at the University of Toledo, will be the second meeting this season for the two teams with the first leading to a Falcon win.

The Falcons secured a 172-128-point win at home the last time they met the Rockets. The day was a memorable one for Daisy Platts as not only did she take away wins in the 100 and 200 Backstroke and swam the first leg of the winning 200 Medley Relay it was also her senior day at Bowling Green.
Platts was not the only one who impressed that day with Martina Stefinec taking home two wins in both the 100 and 200 Breaststroke. Diver Zoe Smith also ran away at the top of the podium twice with wins in both the 1-Meter and 3-Meter dives.

Swimmer Daisy Platts will be back in action for the first after being named the MAC Swimmer of the Week. Platts won 5 events over the course of January 28th and 29th, the last time the Falcons were in the pool. Platts also pulled in pool records at the Frederick A. Fitch Natatorium in the 100 and 200 backstroke at Marshall on the 28th.
