BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving team will be competing in the MAC Championships this week starting on Wednesday and ending Saturday in the Cooper Pool of BGSU.
Admission and Attendance Guidelines
Admission for the MAC Championships is $40 for all adults if they want an all-session pass and $20 for all seniors and youth (3-17) for the all-session pass. A single session pass is $12 for adults and $7 for seniors and youth. You can find tickets online for the MAC Championships HERE. You can also purchase passes at the door. We request that all attendees of this week's MAC Championship go in the front doors facing Ridge Street.
Regardless of vaccination status, all guests, staff, and vendors will be required to wear a face covering while in the Cooper Pool. Fans are not required to show proof of vaccination to enter the Cooper Pool, but face coverings – covering the nose and mouth – are required for all fans as they watch the meet from their seats and enter, exit, and move around. Children 2 and younger will not be required to wear a face covering. If spectators are unable to wear face coverings, they are encouraged not to attend meets in-person for the sake of their health and the health of others.
Featured Falcons
This will be the first time back in the pool for swimmer Taylor Harris after winning Co-MAC swimmer of the week for meets competed in through February 13th. In the Falcons' last meet against rival Toledo Harris recorded two individual victories in the 100 and 200 Breaststroke. Harris also swam legs in the first placed 200 Medley Relay team and the second place 200 Freestyle Relay.
Harris was not the only Falcon to be rewarded with recognition from the conference as diver Rayah Blood was named Co-MAC Diver of the Week for the meets competed in through February 13th as well. Blood won the 1-Meter Dive with a score of 282.53 in the win against rival Toledo. Blood also put up an impressive score of 285.83 in the 3-Meter Dive to help secure a season series sweep in the Battle of I-75 against the Rockets.
