A Bowling Green Win Would …Â
Scouting Northern IllinoisÂ
Since the last meeting between Bowling Green and Northern Illinois, the Huskies have gone 1-4 with the win coming in their most recent game. NIU topped Western Michigan on Tuesday (Feb. 1) by a score of 75-56. This time around BGSU will work to stop Keshawn Williams. In the last meeting, Williams scored 32 points for the Huskies, going 12-of-16 from the field. Kaleb Thornton (13) and Trendon Hankerson (11) scored double-digits in the game as well.Â
Myron Gordon Finding SuccessÂ
The last time out, senior Myron Gordon put up 24 points for the Falcons, his second 20-point game in the last three contests. Gordon has now tallied eight straight games with 10 points or more off the bench, averaging 15.3 points over that stretch. Gordon is now averaging 10.9 points per game on the year and 12.4 points per game during MAC play. Gordon is also now eighth in the nation for Assist Turnover Ratio with a mark of 3.1.Â
Plowden's Next MilestoneÂ
Daeqwon Plowden's season of milestones is set to eclipse yet another mark. Plowden will enter the contest against NIU with 1,497 career points, needing just three to become the 13th player in program history to reach 1,500 career points. Plowden also needs just eight points to pass Marcus Newbern for 12th on the all-time scoring list.Â
From The Field
A key stat for the Falcons this season has been field goal percentage. When having a better field goal percentage than their opponent, Bowling Green is 10-0 this year and 87-7 during the Coach Huger Era. However, when BGSU's opponent posts a higher field goal percentage this year, the Falcons hold a record of 1-11.Â
