
Butler and Whitted Pace BGSU’s Outdoor Season Opener at the Blizzard Buster

OXFORD, Ohio. – The Bowling Green track and field team participated in its first outdoor meet of the season on Friday (March 18) at Miami's (OH) Blizzard Buster.
Ebonie Whitted and Kaila Butler headlined the meet, winning their respective meets. Whitted won the shot put with a throw of 14.02m, while Butler crushed the competition with a toss in the hammer at
63.27m.
Throws
• Butler made her first appearance since the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field championship when she earned second-team All-America honors in the hammer throw.
Men's Events
• The BGSU men's cross country team is participating in its spring season. Five runners competed in distanced events at the Blizzard Buster.
