Falcons Finish Competition at Diving Zones

ANN ARBOR, Michigan – Zoe Smith, Grace Ellis, and Rayah Blood of the Bowling Green State University diving team competed in NCAA diving zones over March 7th and 8th.
There are five diving zones across the country with the top four scores in each event granting the student athletes a trip to the NCAA Championship in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Orange and Brown had three divers in the 1-Meter. Rayah Blood was the highest Falcon finisher with a score of 231.70. Fellow divers Grace Ellis and Zoe Smith finished close behind with scores of 222.45 and 221.60.
The Falcons continued competition today in the 3-Meter Dive. Divers Rayah Blood and Grace Ellis both competed in the event. Blood again was the top performing Falcon with a score of 261.45. Fellow Falcon Grace Ellis finished with a score of 227.65.
This was the first time that any of the three divers (Blood, Ellis, and Smith) qualified for NCAA Diving Zones.
