Bowling Green Bound For MAC Championships In Holland This Weekend

HOLLAND, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team will be competing in the 2022 MAC Women's Golf Championships this weekend. The event will span three days, beginning on Friday (April 22) and concluding Sunday (April 24) with a total of three rounds to be played. The field of 10 teams will begin play on Friday at the Stone Oak Country Club in Holland, Ohio. The Falcons are set to tee off from 9:50-10:30. The course will span 6,158 yards with a par 72.

The MAC Championship Field
The Falcons will be one of 10 teams competing in the MAC Women's Golf Championships this weekend. In addition to Bowling Green, the entire Mid-American Conference will be in action with Akron, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Ohio, Toledo, Northern Illinois, Ball State, Kent State and Western Michigan.

BGSU's MAC Championship Lineup
Kayla Davis

Davis competed for the Falcons a year ago at the MAC Championships, tying for 36th in the field and second on the team. Her best round came during the first day with a 79.

Mallory Swartz

This will be Swartz's first time competing in the MAC Championships. Swartz scored her best round at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational with a 74.

MacKenzie Moore

This will be Moore's first time playing in the MAC Championship as well. At the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational (April 10), Moore tied for first and won the individual championship after five playoff holes.

Nichole Cox

Cox was the top placing Falcon at last year's MAC Championships scoring a 239 in total for three rounds tying for 23rd in the field.

Sammi Blackburn

Blackburn tied for 42nd in the field and third on the team at last year's MAC Championship, scoring a 251 total for three rounds.

Falcon Facts

The MAC Championship is the last event of the season for the Falcons.
Last season, the Falcons finished ninth at the MAC Championship. Bowling Green logged a team score of 983 over the three days of play.
