Recap: Women's Golf Finishes Fifth at Diane Thomason Invitational

IOWA CITY, Iowa. – The BGSU women's golf team competed in the Diane Thomason Invitational this week (Sep. 29-20), hosted by the University of Iowa. The team put together yet another strong outing, as they placed fifth out of the 16 team field, shooting a 911 as a team.
Macie Elzinga led the way for the Falcons, as she fired a 222 over three rounds and finished +6 over par and finished 10th individually. Addison Kartusch continued her strong fall season as well, as she fired a 229 across three rounds, finishing +13 over par and tied for 17th on the individual leaderboards.
"I'm really proud of the team for their performance this week. They all played some really solid golf and it was great to be in contention for a top finish again." Said Fahey on the team's performance.
"Huge shoutout to Macie Elzinga. She played fantastic golf all week and has been a leader for us all year." Fahey stated.
