Falcons, Bulls Set To Clash In Buffalo Tuesday Night

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball program will stay on the road for the second consecutive game, this time heading to Buffalo, N.Y. to the face the Buffalo Bulls Tuesday (Jan. 17). The game between the Falcons and Bulls is set for a 7 p.m. tip and will be available to watch on ESPN+. Fans can tune in to the action via WFRO Eagle 99. Tuesday will mark the 47th meeting all-time between Bowling Green and Buffalo. The all-time series leans just slightly to Buffalo with the Bulls leading 24-22 after picking up both games last season. In the two meetings last year, Samari Curtis led the way for the Falcons. Against Buffalo, Curtis averaged 22.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, including 25 points in the game in Buffalo.Â

Buffalo is coming off an overtime loss to Central Michigan last Saturday that moved the Bulls to 2-2 within the MAC and 8-9 on the season, the same standing as Bowling Green. Buffalo picked up wins over Ohio and Northern Illinois to start MAC play but fell to Miami (OH) before CMU. Sophomore guard Curtis Jones leads UB, averaging 15.3 points per game, including a team-high 43 three-pointers this season.Â

BGSU has totaled 206 assists over the 12-game stretch, averaging 17.2 assists per game. As for the season, the Falcons have amassed a MAC-leading 259 assists and are averaging 15.2 assists per game, including a season-high 25 in the win over Ohio Dominican, one of three 20-assist games for BGSU.Â
