Falcons Host USNTDP For Friday Exhibition

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (14-13-1, 11-8-1 CCHA) are set to play their only exhibition of the season, taking on the USA Hockey U18s (28-7-2) in Slater Family Ice Arena. The exhibition is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 27, with puck drop scheduled for 7:07 p.m. ET.

Falcon Facts
The USNTDP has compiled a 28-7-2 record this season, playing a schedule of USHL, NCAA, and U18 national teams. They have a 13-5 record against NCAA teams, with their most recent being a 4-3 loss to Adrian on Tuesday (Jan. 24). The U18s have played and defeated three CCHA teams, winning against Lake Superior State, Michigan Tech, and St. Thomas. The 24 players hail from 12 different states, with a team-high five coming from Minnesota.

Falcon Facts
- Austen Swankler is riding an 18-game scoring streak, the longest in the nation. He has 11 goals and 20 assists for 31 points in this span, giving him a season line of 16G-22A—38P. He leads the CCHA in assists and points while ranking second in goals. Nationally, he ranks second in points, fourth in assists, and fifth in goals.
- Nathan Burke has a seven-game scoring streak, totaling five goals and four assists for nine points in this stretch. He netted two goals in the series finale against St. Thomas, his third multi-goal game as a Falcon. He ranks second on the team with 13 goals this season.
- Alex Barber (103 points) and Taylor Schneider (102 points) are one of just three pairs of teammates with over 100 career points. Chase Gresock, who currently sits at 95 points, will look to become the third active Falcon to reach the century mark.
- Schneider (174 games played) and Barber (169 games played) hold the top two spots in the nation in games among active players. Schneider is tied for fourth in school history and Barber is eighth.
- The Falcons lead the CCHA in goals scored (94), shorthanded goals (6), and shot percentage (12%).
