Falcons Drop Friday Match to Greyhounds

Furness and Neuman earn third consecutive doubles win; Ivanikhina makes collegiate debut
INDIANAPOLIS – The Bowling Green Falcons dropped a hard-fought Friday (Jan. 27) match to the Indianapolis Greyhounds by a score of 4-3. BGSU started the day by picking up the doubles point, with the pairing of Lucy Furness and Hannah Neuman winning, 6-4, at the No. 1 spot. With the victory, the duo improves to 3-0 on the season. In the No. 2 spot, Eloise Saraty and Maru Poppe won, 6-3, in their first time competing together.
Neuman carried the success over to singles, where she earned a 6-2, 6-4 win in the No. 4 position. The victory moves her to 2-1 in singles this season. Also competing for the Falcons was Diana Ivanikhina, who made her collegiate debut. The win drops the Falcons' record to 1-2, with the Greyhounds starting the year 1-0.
