Falcons Head To Michigan For ITA Midwest Regionals

East Lansing, Mich. -- The Bowling Green Falcons will travel to East Lansing to compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regionals, held from Thursday, Oct. 12 to Monday, Oct. 16. The matches will be played in the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility. The Falcons will be one of 23 teams that are competing this weekend. Each team gets a minimum of four players and one double team, the winner of each draw will punch an automatic ticket to the ITA All-American Championships.

The four seniors will represent BGSU Tennis this weekend at the ITA Midwest Regionals. Eloise Saraty qualified for the main draw, she will play on Friday, October 13. Ioanna Tsadari, Lucy Furness, and Hannah Neuman are all set to play on Thursday, October 12 for a chance to qualify for the main draw. Lucy Furness and Hannah Neuman will pair up for doubles play on Friday, October 13 against Lana Caculovic and Tijana Zlatanovic from Illinois State University. While, Eloise Saraty and Ioanna Tsadari will compete against Marlo Schiffman and Nicole Conrad from Michigan State University. The doubles winner will move on to the Doubles Main Draw Second Round.

"The ITA Regional Qualifier is always a highlight of the fall because of the great level of competition. We are taking our four Seniors and I know they are looking forward to it. Competition is the greatest measuring stick and the level of competition is about to ramp up dramatically."
