Bowling Green Drops Sunday Battle To Vikings

Sioux Falls, S.D.– The Bowling Green Falcons fell to the Augustana Vikings on Sunday, October 15 in the Vikings inaugural home opener series.
Scoring Plays
Bowling Green plays a home and home series when they face Western Michigan. The series starts Friday, Oct. 20 in Slater Family Ice Arena at 7:07 p.m. This game will serve as Pediatric Cancer Night as well as Family Night. On Saturday, Oct. 21 the Falcons and Broncos face off in Lawson Ice Arena in Kalamazoo, Michigan puck drop set for 7:00 p.m.

Scoring Plays
- Augustana's Uula Ruikka started the scoring for the night when he fired the puck from the top of the circle (5:05) in the first period.
- Hunter Bischoff quickly responded with a wide open lane in front of the cage (9:56) Bischoff intercepted a Falcon pass and hit the puck past Moore.
- Brady Ziemer added a goal from the point (11:39), assist came from Luke Mobley and Ben Troumbly.
- The Falcons lone goal came from Ryan O'Hara (14:32) in the second period, assist came from Michael Bevilacqua. O'Hara and Bevilacqua had a fast break opportunity, O'Hara rebounded Bevilacqua's shot for his first goal of the season.
- Brett Meerman secured the win for the Vikings in the third period (6:10) assist from Ryan Naumovski. Meerman snuck the puck past Moore with a pass from Naumovski.
- Ryan O'Hara captured his first goal of the season and making this his 16th career goal.
- Michael Bevilacqua helped with point production this weekend, tallying one assist in each game.
- Goaltender Cole Moore saw action in his first collegiate game tonight, averaging a save percentage of .867.
