• The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team has advanced to the Mid-American Conference Tournament's championship game for the second time in three years. Head coach Robyn Fralick and the Falcons, the tournament's number-two seed, will face the top-seeded University of Toledo on Saturday morning (March 11), with tipoff set for 11:00 a.m. at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in downtown Cleveland.

THE FALCONS IN THE MAC TOURNAMENT
• BGSU enters Saturday's UT tussle with an all-time record of 48-27 in MAC Tournament contests. The Falcons have won 11 league tournament titles, the most of any conference institution, and BG has the second-highest winning percentage (.640) of any team in league tourney games. BGSU's conference tournament win total also places the Falcons second among MAC teams.
FALCONS IN THE FINAL
• BGSU has a record of 11-3 in MAC Tournament championship games. The Falcons captured four consecutive tourney titles from 1987 through 1990, beating Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Toledo and Miami, respectively. BG made it six titles in eight years with wins over Kent State (1993) and UT ('94).
• After a 10-year absence, the Falcons returned to the final in 2004, losing to Eastern Michigan. BGSU made it back in each of the next three seasons, with wins over KSU in both 2005 and '06 and Ball State in 2007. BSU topped the Falcons in 2009, but BGSU picked up wins over UT in 2010 and EMU in 2011 to cap a stretch of five tourney titles in seven years.

FALCONS VS. UT IN THE MAC TOURNAMENT
• The Falcons and Toledo are meeting for the 12th time in MAC Tournament play, and the sixth time in downtown Cleveland. BGSU is 8-3 in tourney meetings with UT, including a 1-0 record on the road and a 7-3 mark at neutral sites. The teams have met on five previous occasions at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse (previously known as Gund Arena, then Quicken Loans Arena). BGSU captured the first four MAC Tournament matchups with Toledo, dropped the next three, then won the next four.
• BGSU is 3-0 against UT in league tourney championship games. The Falcons downed the Rockets in the 1989 championship game at UT's Centennial Hall, then captured the 1994 title tilt at Battelle Hall in Columbus. The teams' most recent MAC Tournament meeting came in 2010, when the Orange and Brown picked up a 62-53 win over the Rockets in the championship game.

A QUICK LOOK AT THE ROCKETS
• Toledo is 27-4 on the season, and the Rockets went 16-2 in MAC play to capture the league regular-season title. The red-hot Rockets have won 15-straight games since a loss to BGSU at the Stroh Center on Jan. 18.
• UT defeated Buffalo (75-74 in overtime) and Kent State (68-58) in MAC Tournament play to advance to Saturday's final.
• Individually, Quinesha Lockett leads the team in scoring, with 17.7 ppg, while Sammi Mikonowicz and Sophia Wiard have 10.5 and 10.1 ppg, respectively. Mikonowicz has a team-best 7.9 rpg, while Wiard has an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.69.
• Head coach Tricia Cullop's team is 14-1 at home, 10-2 on the road and 3-1 in neutral-site games this season. In MAC play, UT went 9-0 at home and 7-2 on the road. Cullop welcomed back 11 letterwinners, including all five starters, from a 2021-22 team that went 29-6 overall and 19-1 in MAC regular-season play.
THE SERIES
• The Falcons lead Toledo, 45-40, in the all-time series, and the teams split their two regular-season meetings, with the home team coming out on top each time. BGSU picked up an 88-76 win at the Stroh Center (Jan. 18, 2023), and the Rockets came from behind to post a 62-56 victory at Savage Arena last Saturday afternoon (March 4, 2023).
• The Falcons are 22-14 at home, 15-23 on the road and 8-3 at neutral sites vs. Toledo through the years.
