Last Time Out: Falcons Earn Second Consecutive Win Behind Strong Singles Play

Playing in Dayton, the Falcons dropped the doubles point, despite a No. 1 victory from Eloise Saraty and Ioanna Tsadari. In singles, Saraty (No. 2), Hannah Neuman (No. 4), Maru Poppe (No. 5), and Leticia Fonseca (No. 6) each tallied a win to give BGSU the 4-3 win, marking their second in a row. Saraty is 4-0 when playing in No. 2 singles, with Fonseca being 4-1 in No. 6 singles. In doubles, Tsadari and Saraty are 3-1, with all four matches being played at No. 1.
Opponent Outlook
Wayne State enters the weekend with a perfect 9-0 record, with their most recent win coming over No. 27 Drury. Anais Ruyssen, Martnya Szpakowska, and Shanice Weekes are all 9-0 in singles play, with all nine of Ruyssen's wins coming at No. 1. She pairs with Marta Komar in doubles, combining for a 6-1 record at No. 1. As a team, the Warriors are 45-6 in singles and 20-7 in doubles this spring. This will be WSU's first match against a D-I opponent this season.
Coach Bonnell's Outlook
"We're riding a two-match win streak, so we want to build on recent successes. The next day, we depart for spring break, where hopefully we'll get more wins down in sunny Florida."
