Falcon Facts
- Mateya Haintz threw a mark of 195-3.00 (59.52m) that places her fourth in the program record book. She trails All-Americans Brooke Pleger, Kaila Butler, and Aliyah Gustafson. Haintz has now won the hammer both times she's competed this season.
- Her mark is the third-best of her collegiate career and best as a Falcon. Her only marks that are higher came during the 2021 campaign, when she competed for Charlotte. As a 49er, she threw a PR of 199-3.00 (60.73m) and second-best mark of 198-8.00 (60.56m).
- Haintz's second and third-best attempts were also better than anyone in the event, with those being 189-4.00 (57.72m) and 187-6.00 (57.15m). Her lowest attempt, 181-3.00 (55.24m), was only topped by runner-up Hannah Jackson of Cincinnati.
- Reagan Emberton's mark of 145-2.00 (44.25m) is her best of the season and third-best of her career. Her PR is 152-10.00 (46.59m), achieved at the Miami Blizzard Buster in 2022. Her only other career mark better than today's is 147-6.00 (44.97m), which she reached at the 2022 Indiana Invitational.
- Kami Baker threw for the Orange and Brown but fouled on all three attempts.
- Bowling Green has competed in five throwing events this outdoor season. Four of those events have been won by a Falcon, with Haintz winning the hammer at both meets and Zaresha Neal winning the discus and shot put at the Blizzard Buster.
