Tsadari and Saraty win in top two singles spots to score points for Falcons
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (6-12, 0-6 MAC) dropped a Friday (April 7) match to the Buffalo Bulls (18-5, 4-2 MAC) by a score of 5-2. The match was played on Keefe Courts, the program's first spring match on the campus courts in nearly four years. Ioanna Tsadari and Eloise Saraty picked up singles wins for the Orange and Brown, with Tsadari playing at No. 1 and Saraty at No. 2. Tsadari was efficient in her win over Azra Deniz Comlek, taking both sets by a score of 6-3. Saraty dropped her first set, 6-4, to Pia Schwarz, but rebounded with a 6-4 win of her own in the second set. In the tiebreak set, Saraty outlasted Schwarz for a thrilling 11-9 win.
Tsadari now has six singles wins this spring, with five of those coming at No. 1. During the 2022-23 campaign, she has nine singles victories. The senior has 38 singles wins and 78 combined wins in her career. Her total of 21 combined wins this year ranks second on the team. Saraty leads the team with 24 combined wins this year, including a team-best 12 singles wins. Eight of those have come during the spring season, ranking second on the team.
