Falcon Divers Look to Brave Bulls and Others at Invite

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University diving team continues their 2024 campaign this weekend in Buffalo New York. The Falcons will join Akron, Toledo, Ohio, Eastern Michigan, St. Bonaventure, Marshall, and Duquesne at Buffalo's Diving Invitational.
The Falcon divers have had a strong showing up to this point in the season. Of the 13 diving events the Falcon divers have come away with event wins in 11. Senior captain Rayah Blood has won two MAC Diver of the Week awards. Blood has four event of the Falcons' 11 diving event wins on the season.
Freshman flyer Natalia Mayorga has had a tremendous start to her collegiate career for the Falcons. Mayorga recorded the highest point total for a freshmen diver in the 3-Meter with a score of 312.45 since the record was broken by Talisa Lemke in her freshmen season 7 years ago. Mayorga also leads all Falcons with six event wins, adding one last weekend in the 3-Meter Dive at Marshall.
Last time out on the Platform Junior Sarah Butt came away with a win. Butt won the event with a score of 195.40
