Falcons Ready For Road Trip Against RedHawks Tuesday Night

BGSU Seeking Best Record Through 17 Games Since 2001-02
OXFORD, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team will continue their current road trip, this time heading to Oxford, Ohio to take on the Miami (OH) RedHawks. The Falcons and RedHawks are scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip on Tuesday (Jan. 16) at Millett Hall. The game will be available to stream on ESPN+ with a radio feed from Todd Walker on WFRO Eagle 99.Â

The Falcons and RedHawks will be meeting for the 151st time in program history with Miami (OH) leading the all-time series. The Falcons enter having won 10 of their last 11 games, including four of the last five on the road. The matchup will feature two of the top defenses in the MAC. BGSU is holding opponents to 69.0 points per game (2nd in the MAC) and 42.4% from the field (1st). Miami is holding opponents to 70.6 points per game (4th) and 44.1% from the field (4th).

Miami (OH) enters the game on the heels of back-to-back MAC wins, topping both Buffalo (86-65) and Eastern Michigan (71-54) to move to 2-2 in the MAC after losses to Western Michigan (83-74) and Toledo (68-64). Through four MAC games, Miami has been one of the more efficient teams in the MAC, shooting 49.1% from the field, second in conference play. As for the season, they are shooting 46.9%, third in the conference. They've translated that to defense as well, holding opponents to a mark of 25.3% from behind the arc during the four MAC games and 28.5% on the season overall.Â
