Falcons Face Rival RedHawks at Home

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving team out is set to face off against Miami University (OH) tomorrow at home in the Cooper Pool at 3 p.m.
Last Time Out
This will be the Falcons' first meet in the Cooper Pool of BGSU during the new year. The Falcons' last time out was a loss to Marshall in West Virginia. The Falcons took three event wins from 'The Herd'. Backstroke swimmer Emily McNicol added another win to her already impressive season total making it five. McNicol won the 100 Backstroke thanks to a time of 56.83. Fellow sophomore standout, Grace Bodrock came home with a win, as well. Bodrock captured the top spot in the 200 Butterfly with a time of 2:05.92.
Last weekend the divers headed to Buffalo alone for an invitational. The Falcons were led by their diving captain, Rayah Blood, on the weekend. Blood was the lone Falcon to make both the 3-Meter and 1-Meter finals. On Friday, Blood finished 6th with a score of 278.95. Fellow Falcon flyer Natalia Mayorga added a fourth-place finish in the event with a finals score of 283.70. Blood also made the 1-Meter final and finished twelfth good for a score of 213.05.
Measuring Up Miami
The RedHawks open the season 4-2 and 2-0 in the MAC. Miami has beaten Cleveland State, Oakland, Eastern Michigan, and Buffalo. The RedHawks have also won the lone invitational appearance at their very own Miami Invitational.
