Bowling Green Opens Spring Season with Exciting Win at Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons opened the spring portion of the 2024 season with an exciting 4-3 victory against the Dayton Flyers at the South Regency Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.

With the match knotted, 3-3, Tia Clemens brought home the win at No. 5 singles after losing the first set, 6-2. Clemens bounced back winning the second set 6-2 over Erica Wojcikiewicz. Clemens stormed out to a 5-2 lead in the final set, but Wojcikiewicz fought back. Clemens secured the final singles point with a 7-6 win.

The Falcons opened the match winning the doubles point. After the duo of Leticia Fonseca and Isabella Baker easily won their match, 6-1, Dayton evened doubles at 1-1 in No. 3 doubles. Lucy Furness and Hannah Neuman battled at No. 1 doubles, winning 7-5 to secure the doubles point for the Falcons.

3. Wojcikiewicz / Greb (DAY) def. Clemens / Chaffee (BGSU) 6-3
