Falcons Fly To Big Rapids For CCHA Matchup

BIG RAPIDS, Mich.- The Bowling Green Falcons (8-16-0, 6-8-0 CCHA) will resume CCHA play when they travel to Big Rapid, Michigan to face the Ferris State Bulldogs (10-16-1, 6-11-0 CCHA). The series begins on Friday, February 2 in R.L. Ewigleben Sports Complex, puck drop set for 7:07 p.m. Friday. The action will continue on Saturday, February 3 and is set for 6:07 p.m. in Big Rapids. This will be the second meeting of the two this season, the first being Friday, Dec 8 and Saturday, Dec 9 in Slater Family Ice Arena where the Falcons picked up their only sweep of the season. Bowling Green is coming of a bye week, while Ferris State is currently on a four-game win streak. Last weekend (Jan. 26- Jan. 27) the Bulldogs swept Augustana in South Dakota.

Ferris State is currently on a four-game winning streak and is coming off a sweep against Augustana in South Dakota, which recorded their second sweep of the season. The week prior the Bulldogs swept at Lake Superior State (Jan.19-Jan.20).
Antonio Venuto leads the Bulldogs in goals (12) and points (26) while Travis Shoudy leads in assist with 15. Goaltender Logan Stein holds .915 save percentage and 2.75 goals against average, splitting time with Noah Giesbrecht who has a .877 save percentage and 4.20 goals against average.
