Bowling Green Bested By Buckeyes Friday Night

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Bowling Green Falcons (7-14-0, 5-7-0 CCHA) fell to the Ohio State Buckeyes (7-8-4) by a score of 2-6 on Friday night in Value City Arena. The Falcons lead early in the game scoring the first and only goal of the first period. Ohio State responded scoring four in the second period, for a 4-1 lead. The Falcons tallied one goal in the third period and the Buckeyes responded by scoring two power-play goals for a 6-2 final score. Ben Wozney and Quinn Emerson scored the two goals for the Falcons while Eric Parker tallied two assists. Jaden Grant and Ryan O'Hara both tallied assists on the night as well.

Scoring Plays
- Ryan O'Hara took the puck down the left sheet of the ice and shot the puck right above the goal line. The puck deflected of off Eric Parker to which Ben Wozney added the last touch before hitting the back of the net at 3:16 in the first period.
- Stephen Halliday passed the puck across the cage and Riley Hughes shot the puck past Moore at 18:58 in the second period, to tie the game up at one.
- Theo Wallberg set up at the point and passed the puck down to the right circle, where Stephen Halliday added one more pass to Scooter Brickey who put the puck in the back of the net for a power-play goal. Brickey scored the goal at 5:39 in the second period to gain their first lead of the night, 2-1.
- Stephen Halliday took the puck behind the net and passed the it up to the point, to Scooter Brickey. Brickey shot the puck past Moore for a 3-1 lead at 31.6 seconds.
- Stephen Halliday started another play not soon after, where he shot the puck short-handed to which Moore saved. Dalton Messina found the puck off the shot at .04 seconds left for a 4-1 lead.
- Quinn Emerson took the puck down the middle of the ice, weaving past a couple of Buckeye and shot it past their goaltender to make the score 2-4 at 17:30 in the third period.
- Stephen Halliday set up a sequence for the Buckeyes fifth goal on the goal line, passed it to Patrick Guzzo on the goal circle who passed it up to Cam Thiesing for a shot to the back of the net for a 5-2 lead 5:57 in the third period.
- Thomas Weis scored on an open chance with Moore, assist came from Dalton Messina. Weis scored a power-play goal at 1:15 in the third period to end with a 6-2 score.
- Ben Wozney scored his second goal of the season and fourth career goal.
- Eric Parker tallied two assists, recording as his fifth assist of the season and 20 career. Parker's two assists, were his first multi-assist game of the year.
- Ryan O'Hara tallied another point to lead the Falcon production with an assist, which recorded his eighth of the season and 31st career.
- Quinn Emerson scored his second goal of the year and fifth career goal.
- Jaden Grant recorded an assist on the Emerson goal, which was his third of the season and eighth career.
- Cole Moore recorded 35 saves on the night, which recorded his seventh game with 30 or more saves.Â
