BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (3-3-0) fell to the Ohio State Buckeyes ( 5-0-1) 2-0 in a non-conference game. For the Falcons, tonight's game was the home opener and prior to the game, a moment of silence was held for the passing of BGSU hockey great Mark Wells.

How It Happened
- Both teams were unable to find the back of the net in the first period and the Buckeyes had the slim eight to seven shot advantage at the break.
- Ohio State was able to find the back of the net on the power play after a tripping call against sophomore Ben Doran to make the score, 1-0.
- At the 12:05 mark of the second period that Buckeyes were able to extend their lead to 2-0 on a goal from Damien Carfanga to make the score, 2-0.
- The Falcons had strong chances throughout the second period to net a goal before the final frame but were unable to find the back of the net.
- At the end of the second with over a second remaining in the period, senior Ryan O'Hara was sent to the box for a two-minute penalty, along with James Hong of Ohio State for five minutes.
- BGSU would be able to kill of their penalty going into the third period due to great saves by sophomore Cole Moore and penalty kill.
- The Falcons would start the third period with a three-minute power-play from the second period but would be unable to convert.
