BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (8-7-2, CCHA 4-4-2) defeated the RIT Tigers (4-15-1, AHA 3-8-1) by a score of 2-1 to close out 2024. In the win, senior Ryan O'Hara scored his first goal of the season, and it was the eventual game-winner. With the win, the Falcons improve to 4-0-0 against AHA foes.

BGSU extends their winning streak to three games before the start of 2025
Bowling Green scored a goal in the first period for the 11^th time this season so far

How It Happened

Eight minutes into the game, graduate Ville Immonen took a shot from the blue line that was initial blocked. Sophomore Brody Waters picked up the loose puck and took a shot at the top of the circle, beating the RIT goaltender on the blocker side.
Neither team would be able to find the back of the net in the second, with the Falcons winning the shots battle 35-13 through two periods of play.
Early in the third period at 5:06, RIT would find the equalizer on a breakaway after a mishandled puck by the Falcons.
Close to six minutes later, senior Ryan O'Hara would net the eventual game-winner and his first of the season. Junior Quinn Emerson was fighting for a loose puck in the neutral zone with an RIT player. The loose puck was picked up and brought into the zone by O'Hara took a shot that went in the five hole on the RIT goaltender.
