Falcons Drop Series Finale In Slater Family Ice Arena

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio- The Bowling Green Falcons (13-18-1, 11,10,1 CCHA) fell to the Michigan Tech Huskies (14-13-6, 11-9-2 CCHA) by a score of 3-1 on Saturday night in Slater Family Ice Arena. The Falcons and Huskies went two periods with no score on the board and early into the third period, Seth Fyten found the back of the net for a 1-0 lead. Soon after Michigan Tech tied the game up at one and then recorded two more goals in the period to secure the sweep on the weekend.Â
Scoring Plays
Bowling Green will travel to Marquette, Michigan for the final series of the regular season. The first game is set for Friday, March 8 puck drop set for 7:07 p.m. The action will continue on Saturday, March 2 at 6:07 p.m in Berry Events Center.Â

Scoring Plays
- Seth Fyten scored the first goal of the night at 17:06. Tommy Pasanen passed the puck forward to Fyten, who found the back of the net for the 1-0 lead in the third period.Â
- Evan Orr scored not soon after at 14:32 to tie the game up at one. Orr found the pass from behind the net and shot it past Moore to put the Huskies on the board.Â
- Chase Pietila scored the Huskies' second goal at 9:16 in the third, to take the first lead of the night. Pietila shot the puck right below the blue line and found its way to the back of the net.Â
- Logan Pietila scored an empty-net goal at 1:18 in the game to secure the sweep on the weekend.Â
- Seth Fyten scored his seventh goal of the season and 16th career goal.Â
- Tommy Pasanen tallied his fifth assist of the season and 13th career.Â
- Gustav Stjernberg recorded a season high of five blocks on the night. Stjernberg records 37 blocks on the season.Â
- Cole Moore recorded 32 saves on the night
