Featured Falcons
In the Falcons' last meet they fell to both Toledo and Buffalo in a tri-meet that spanned two days. There were a few bright spots on the weekend, however. Friday brought recognition to all of our 11 true seniors and our 2 5th years. Saturday brought the lone scored Falcon event win. Senior captain Ava Vial took home a first-place finish in the 400 IM while at Toledo. Vial did so with a time of 4:32.78. This victory came after Vial placed second the night before in the 200 IM.
Senior Diver Rayah Blood also displayed success. Blood was the highest finishing Falcon in the 3-Meter Diving, placing fourth with a score of 257.65. Then the in the 1-Meter Diving the Falcons swept the podium. Unfortunately, the 1-Meter diving was not scored as part of the event. Blood finished the 1-Meter with a score of 269.85.
Falcon Flashback
At last year's MAC Championships, the Falcons finished 8th out of eight teams. Last year the Falcons were paced by Junior Elayna Krupp. Krupp made two finals on the week. Krupp placed 15th in finals with times of 23.37 and 51.28 in the 50 and 100 Freestyles.
Three other Falcons, who are currently on the team, swam in finals last year. Senior captain Ava Vial took 13th place in the 400 IM. Then the 200 Butterfly saw two Falcons swim in the B Final. Sophomore Grace Bodrock placed 13th with a time of 2:03.49 and was closely followed by fellow Falcon Fabiana D'Ambrogio who placed 16th with a time of 2:04.25.
Rayah Blood headlined the Falcon flyers yet again at MAC Championships last year. Blood was the only Falcon
