
Bowling Green Drops Friday Match To Broncos

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Bowling Green State University tennis team (7-7, 0-2 MAC)Â dropped to Western Michigan (9-5, 0-2 MAC)Â by a score of 2-5Â on Friday afternoon at the West Hills Athletic Club.Â
Western Michigan took the doubles point to start the afternoon, on courts one and three. Ultimately deciding the outcome on court two (DNF).Â
The Falcons dropped points on courts one through four, while on courts five and six BGSU picked up two points. No.5 Isabella Baker picked up a win in two sets (6-4, 7-5) and No. 6 Leticia Fonseca defeated Maya Perkuckin in straight sets as well. No. 3 Hannah Neuman pushed the match to a tiebreaker, ultimately falling to Karin Hamilton (6-4, 7-6, (8-6). While No. 4 Tia Clemens picked up the first set against Polina Khotko and then fell in the second set. The singles point on court four was decided by Khotko in a third set.Â
