Falcons Travel To Buffalo For MAC Rematch

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Bowling Green Falcons (7-8, 0-3 MAC) are set to face the Buffalo Bulls (14-6, 1-2 MAC) for the second time this season on Friday, March 29. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. in Miller Tennis Center. Live stats are available HERE.Â

Buffalo enters the weekend with a 14-6 overall record, which includes fall competition, and a 1-2 MAC record. The Bulls last took the court Sunday, March 24 where they fell to Miami 3-4 at home and faced Toledo a couple days before (Friday, March 22) dropping 1-6.Â

On Sunday, March 24 the Falcons and Rockets faced each other at Twos Athletic Center. Toledo took the first Battle of I-75 meeting by a score of 6-1 over the Falcons.Tia Clemens secured the lone point for the Falcons (6-4, 6-6 (3) at the number three flight. No. 2 Hannah Neuman took Sloan Teske into a tiebreaker, ultimately falling 6-3, 7-6 (3).Â
Bowling Green and Western Michigan faced each other on Friday, March 22. The Falcons fell by score of 2-5 on Friday afternoon at the West Hills Athletic Club. Western Michigan took the doubles point to start the afternoon, on courts one and three. Ultimately deciding the outcome on court two (DNF).Â
The Falcons dropped points on courts one through four, while on courts five and six BGSU picked up two points. No.5 Isabella Baker picked up a win in two sets (6-4, 7-5) and No. 6 Leticia Fonseca defeated Maya Perkuckin in straight sets as well. No. 3 Hannah Neuman pushed the match to a tiebreaker, ultimately falling to Karin Hamilton (6-4, 7-6, (8-6). While No. 4 Tia Clemens picked up the first set against Polina Khotko and then fell in the second set. The singles point on court four was decided by Khotko in a third set.Â

The Falcons will be back home, next weekend (Apr. 5 and Apr. 7) when they face Ball State on Friday and Toledo on Sunday. Both matches set for Perrysburg Tennis Center.Â
