Falcons Top Marauders, 6-1

LAKE NONA, Fla.- The Bowling Green Falcons (5-4, 0-0 MAC) competed in their first spring break match on Monday afternoon (Mar. 4), picking up a 6-1 win over the University of Mary. The Falcons clinched the doubles point, grabbing a win in each flight. Furness and Neuman extended their doubles win streak to nine with the 6-3 win over Chong and Freitag (UMary).

Lucy Furness grabbed a point for the Falcons at No. 1 singles in two sets, 6-4, 6-0. Baker joined Furness with another BG point at the No. 3 flight winning in two and No. 5 Clemens joining her in the win column. No. 6 Chaffee and Fonseca were the last two Falcons to finish, adding points for the Orange and Brown. No. 2 Neuman fell to Awad Hossam in the tie-breaker.
