A Bowling Green Win Would…
MAC Tournament OutlookÂ
With a win over Western Michigan on Tuesday, Bowling Green clinched a spot in the MAC Tournament for the first time since the 2020-21 campaign. With one game left in the regular season, the Falcons can land anywhere from the 5th seed to the 7th and could have their opponent be any of the top four teams in the conference, consisting of Toledo, Akron, Ohio and Central Michigan. A full breakdown of the scenarios can be found on page 7 of the game notes.
Scouting The CardinalsÂ
Since the last meeting with BGSU, Ball State has posted a record of 4-5 and have won two of their last three, beating Central Michigan and Kent State, with the lone loss coming in overtime to Western Michigan. The recent surge has pushed Ball State to the brink of the MAC Tournament picture, currently sitting in ninth with eight teams advancing to Cleveland. The Cardinals are paced by Basheer Jihad, averaging 18.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, both leading the team, but Jihad missed Tuesday's game against Kent State.
