BGSU Concludes Regular Season as Miami and Eastern Michigan Come To Town

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-Â The Bowling Green Falcons (7-13, 0-8 MAC) are set for two MAC matchups this weekend (Apr. 19 and Apr. 21). The Falcons will host Miami (Ohio) and Eastern Michigan this weekend.Â
BGSU will face Miami on Friday, Apr. 19 at 1:00 p.m. The Falcons will be back in action for the last regular season match on Sunday, Apr. 21 against Eastern Michigan at 1:00 p.m. and will serve as Senior Day. Lucy Furness, Hannah Neuman, Eloise Saraty and Ioanna Tsadari will be recognized on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. before the 1:00 p.m. match against Eastern Michigan. Location for Friday and Sunday are TBD, updates will be posted on the @BGSUTennis page.Â

The Falcons split the past weekend on the road, falling to the Northern Illinois Huskies Sunday afternoon (Apr. 14) at the Sycamore High School Courts. The Falcons fell 1-6 to the Huskies. Leticia Fonseca took the No.5 spot for the Falcons. Fonseca won in two sets over Jenna Horne (6-4, 6-2). On Friday (Apr. 12) BGSU fell to the Miami RedHawks (1-6) Friday afternoon (Apr. 12) at the Riverside Athletic Club. Â
The Falcons are currently fourth in the MAC east division (0-8).Â
Opponent Outlook
Miami enters the weekend with a 11-10 overall record and 5-3 in the MAC. The RedHawks took the court last weekend where they swept Bowling Green on Friday (Apr. 12) 7-0 and took the win against Buffalo 4-3 on Sunday (Apr. 14). The RedHawks are currently second in the MAC east division.Â
Eastern Michigan is currently 10-10 overall and 4-4 in the MAC. The Eagles split last weekend, picking up a win against Toledo (4-3) on Sunday (Apr. 14) and fell to Western Michigan 1-6 on Friday (Apr. 12). EMU is currently second in the MAC west division.Â
