Pegues Named MAC Special Teams Player of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green running back Justin Pegues (PEE-ggies) has earned Mid-American Conference Special Teams Player of the Week accolades for games played through Sept. 1. It is the first career accolade for Pegues.
Pegues (Birmingham, Ala.) set a BGSU record on his first career play as a Falcon when he returned the game's opening kick 100 yards for a touchdown against Fordham. The previous long KR in BGSU history was 96 yards. By Clint Stephens (vs. Ball State) in 2014. He finished the game with two kick returns for 123 yards. The kick return set the tone for BGSU who took a 27-0 lead as the Falcons cruised to a 41-17 win over the Rams. Pegues also returned two punts for 16 yards.
BGSU is back in action on Saturday (Sept. 7) when the Falcons head to "Happy Valley" to face the No. 8 Penn State Nittany Lions.
