Tennis to Compete in ITA Regionals at Illinois

URBANA, Ill.– The BGSU tennis team will head to Illinois this weekend for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional tournament hosted by the University of Illinois.
Last weekend, the team traveled to Pennsylvania for a match with Slippery Rock University on Saturday, Oct. 11, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Sunday, Oct. 12. The Falcons were victorious in both of those matches, winning both by a score of 6-1.
The ITA Regionals will consist of both a singles and a doubles tournament. Competing in the singles tournament for the Falcons will be Konstantina Adamopoulou and Kiera Taylor who will begin in the 64-player qualifying draw, and Tia Clemens who will begin in the singles main draw.
In the double's tournament, Libby Blair will take the court with Leticia Fonseca, and Konstantina Adamopoulou and Kiera Taylor will make up the second pairing.
The singles qualifying round for the ITA Regionals is set to begin at 9 am on Thursday, Oct. 16, followed by the main draw beginning at 12 pm. To find live results, draws and the schedule for this weekend's matches, click here.
