National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum Unveils First-Ever Pudge the Cat Bobblehead – Now Available for Pre-Order
November 20, 2025 | Football
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - This morning (Nov. 20), the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum revealed the first-ever bobblehead of Pudge the Cat, the beloved unofficial mascot of the Bowling Green Falcons football team. The officially licensed, limited-edition collectible is being produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum—an official licensee of Bowling Green State University—in partnership with Pudge's owner, Falcons long snapper George Carlson.
The Pudge the Cat bobblehead is now available for purchase, with orders expected to ship in March 2026. Each bobblehead is individually numbered and limited to only 2,025 pieces, making it a must-have for fans and collectors. The bobbleheads are priced at $35 each, plus an $8 flat-rate shipping charge per order.
Featuring Pudge seated atop a football field-style base inscribed with his name, the bobblehead captures the charm of the 4-year-old exotic shorthair Persian whose orange fur mirrors half of Bowling Green's official colors. "Orange eyes, orange fur, he's the theme," Carlson said. "It's kind of funny how that worked out."
Pudge became a viral sensation during the Falcons' 2025 season opener on August 28th at Doyt Perry Stadium. As Bowling Green defeated Lafayette 26–7 and first-year head coach Eddie George earned his first victory at BGSU, Pudge stole the spotlight from the sidelines. Dressed in his own orange and brown jersey, he made a cameo on ESPN that quickly spread across social media.
Even before his game-day debut, Pudge had already captured national attention. A TikTok video of him lounging inside the Sebo Athletic Center locker room helped catapult him to social-media stardom. Since then, he has received shoutouts on shows including Good Morning America, CNN, ESPN's College GameDay, CBS Sports and CBS Nightly News gained a devoted Instagram following under the handle @unclepudgy, and even inspired NIL-branded merchandise featuring a cartoon Pudge in a BG helmet.
"We're excited to unveil the first bobblehead of Pudge the Cat – the unofficial mascot of the 2025 Bowling Green Falcons football team," said Phil Sklar, Co-Founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. "We know how much Bowling Green and college football fans have loved Pudge this season, and this bobblehead will give fans the chance to have their own mini Pudge!"
The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, located at 170 S. 1st St. in Milwaukee, Wisc., opened to the public on February 1, 2019. In addition to its extensive collection, the Museum produces high-quality custom bobbleheads for organizations, teams, and individuals nationwide.
