Morneau and Stjernberg Lead BGSU in Exhibition Win over USA National Development Team

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green ice hockey team returned to action on Monday night and rolled past the USA National Development Team's U-18 squad, 6-1, inside the Slater Family Ice Arena.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• BGSU jumped out to a 4-0 lead, beginning with a Gustav Stjernberg goal at 11:16 in the first period. He ripped the shot top shelf, assisted by Dominik Rymon and Noah Morneau.
• A transition goal by Jaden Grant with 4:40 left in the first made it 2-0 Falcons. Jackson Niedermayer and Brett Pfoh were credited with assists.
• Morneau stole the puck 32 seconds into the second period and scored unassisted to push the lead to 3-0.
• Quinn Emerson capped the 4-0 run with a coast-to-coast goal at 9:31 of the second. Stjernberg tallied his second assist of the game and Morneau added his second helper.
• The USA NTDP broke through with 7:46 remaining in the second when Victor Plante scored, cutting the BGSU lead to 4-1.
• Jeremie Minville wrapped around the net for his first goal of the game with 14:43 left to play. Stjernberg and Niedermayer earned the assists — the second of the night for both.
• Morneau finished at the crease on a power play with 4:52 remaining as the teams skated 4-on-3. Tyler Hotson and Breck McKinley were credited with assists.
