Bowling Green Hockey Set For CCHA Semifinals at St. Thomas

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (18-13-4, CCHA 12-10-4) will travel to Mendota Heights, Minn., to face off against the St. Thomas Tommies (18-13-5, CCHA 13-9-4) with a chance to go to the CCHA Mason Cup Championship game on the line.

The Falcons hold an 8-5-3 record all time against the Tommies. On the road against St. Thomas, the Falcons are 3-2-2 all time. This will mark the fifth meeting of these two teams this season with each team hosting the other once for a series. Additionally, due to the forming of the new CCHA conference and St. Thomas' recent history of becoming a Division 1 team, this will mark the first time these two teams have ever met in the CCHA Mason Cup Quarterfinals.

- Cooper Gay and Liam Malmquist lead the CCHA with 18 goals while Malmquist also leads with 42 points
- St.Thomas is one of four teams in the entire country to have at least 14 wins during the calendar year 2025
- Three Tommies earned CCHA All-Conference recognitions: Chase Foley received second-team honors while Liam Malmquist and Lucas Wahlin each garnered a spot on the first team.

For his performance in the CCHA Mason Cup Quarterfinal, Stoever was named the CCHA Goaltender of the Week for the second time this season.

- For BGSU, this is the first time making it past the quarterfinal round of the playoffs since the 2019-2020 season, which was canceled due to COVID-19. As well, the Falcons last weekend won their first home playoff series since the 2018-19 season which saw BGSU sweep the Michigan Tech Huskies in a best two of three format.
