March 09, 2025 | Women's Swimming & Diving
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Three BGSU divers will compete at NCAA Zone C Diving regionals at Ohio State for a chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships held in Federal Way, Washington on March 26-29.
The three-day event will start on Monday, March 10 with 3-meter diving and conclude on Wednesday, March 12 with platform diving.
One-meter diving will take place on Tuesday, March 11.
In a field of 50 who qualified, Natalia Mayorga and Elise Snyder will represent Bowling Green in 3-meter diving, while Evie Long will join the duo in the 1-meter event with 52 others.
Mayorga will wrap up the platform section as the Falcons' lone competitor in the event with 30 other divers.
The top 18 divers in the preliminaries in each event will advance to the finals, and the top 12 from the finals will qualify for the NCAA Championships.
Mayorga earned her one-meter qualifying mark in the first meet of the season at Canisius. The next week, the sophomore obtained her three-meter score in a dual meet at Akron. Lastly, she qualified in platform diving at the Miami Classic two weeks before the MAC Championships.
It was the only time she competed in the event all season.
Snyder earned a spot in the competition with qualifying scores in both the one and three-meter events in a dual meet against Hillsdale in November, while Long earned her one-meter mark in the same meet.
Princeton (Zone A), Auburn (Zone B), Iowa (Zone D) and Federal Way (Zone E) are the other Zone Diving hosts. Each Zone will conclude on March 12.
