Falcons Ready for This Weekend's Boilermaker Intercollegiate

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's golf team travels to West Lafayette, Ind., this weekend, April 19- 20, to compete in the Boilermaker Intercollegiate, hosted by Purdue.

A total of 18 teams will play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday, with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. on each day at Ackerman-Allen Course. Admission is free.

Last Time Out
In what was a beautiful weekend in Columbus, Ohio, the Falcons would finish tenth out of thirteen teams in the Buckeye Classic with a combined score of +33. Graduate Evan Johnson would lead the way for the Orange and Brown with a score of 220 (+4) to finish tied for 30th in the tournament. Senior Darin Hudak would post the team's lowest round score of the weekend with an opening 71 (-1) on Friday morning. Hudak ended the tournament tied for 34th at (+5).

>> The Boilermaker Intercollegiate is BGSU's final action before the MAC Championships, which will be held next weekend (April 27-29) in Grove City, Ohio.
>>This weekend's field consists of nine top-100 teams, including four top-50 squads, according to the latest Clippd Golf national rankings.
>>The Falcons will be joined in the tournament by four different MAC programs as Northern Illinois, Toledo, Miami and Ball State will all be competing this weekend.
>>The number-11 program in the country, Illinois, will be participating along with four other Big Ten squads.
>>In the Falcons' lone prior tournament in West Lafayette, in the 2011-12 season, BGSU finished 12th out of 18 opponents and shot a combined 909 as a team.Â
