Kartusch Wins Manitoba Junior Girls Championship

STEINBACH, Manitoba – On Wednesday, July 9th, Addison Kartusch of the BGSU Women's Golf team took home the Manitoba Girls Junior Championship presented by the Alex and Peggy Colonello Foundation, held at Quarry Oaks Golf Course.
The Winnipeg, Manitoba native shot a 216 over three days of stroke play and had her best round on the final day of the tournament, shooting a 68 and finishing even par.
Kartusch, who is heading into her sophomore year at Bowling Green, posted impressive numbers in her first year in the brown and orange, averaging a 76.64 across her 14 rounds of play. She also shot a season low 71 at the MAC Championships, helping the Falcons earn a second place finish, their best ever in program history.
With this win, Kartusch will represent Manitoba at the Canadian Junior Girls Championship on August 13-16 in Sainte-Marie, Quebec.
