Women's Golf Returns To Postseason For The Second Time In Program History

Bowling Green accepts bid to the National Golf Invitational for a second year in a row.
BOWLING GREEN, OHÂ - The Bowling Green State University (BGSU) Women's Golf team has accepted a bid to the National Golf Invitational at the AK-Chin Southern Golf Club in Maricopa, Arizona, from May 15-17. This is the second time in two years and the second time in history that the Falcons will be competing in the postseason.
The Falcons competed in the National Golf Invitational during the 2024-2025 season, where they finished tenth overall as a team, marking the first postseason appearance in program history. BGSU returns to the National Golf Invitational in what are back-to-back historic seasons.

STARTING LINEUP
Taking the course for the Falcons will be Sammie Dolce, Addison Kartusch, Ava O'Sullivan, Macie Elzinga and McKenzie Miller.Â
FAHEY AND THE FALCONS
In her fourth year as head coach of the Falcons, Erin Fahey has led the team to an over 100-win season. Placing third in the Mid-American Conference Championship on April 28th was just a sample size of what the 2025-2026 season has accumulated for BGSU. This season, coach Fahey and the Falcons have placed inside the top five in all ten tournaments this season, adding two first overall wins on the season.
INDIVIDUAL EXCELLENCEÂ
This season, the Falcons have brought home lots of hardware in tournaments. Starting on the very first tournament of the year, Addison Kartusch won first overall at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational, where she set the program record in a 54-hole tournament for shooting a 205 in three rounds of play, which was good for -11 under par. Kartush's performance earned her MAC Golfer of the Week honors for her performance.
Kartusch also won MAC Golfer of the Week honors for a second time during the season when she carded a 217 (+1) at the Rio Verde Invitational.
Macie Elzinga also claimed an individual overall victory at the West Texas Classic, where she shot a 211 (+1) in three rounds of play. Her performance boosted the Falcons to a second-place overall finish as a team.Â
Sammie Dolce is the latest Falcon to shine on the golf course, where she placed fourth overall in the tournament, propelling the Falcons to a third-place finish as a team.
