Bowling Green Football Places a Program Record 33 Falcons on the 2025 MAC All-Academic Team
January 07, 2026 | Football
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced that 33 members of the Bowling Green football team have been named to the 2025 Academic All-MAC Team, establishing a program record. The 33 honorees surpass the previous mark of 18 set in 2024 and continue Bowling Green's strong academic tradition. The 33 honorees are the most in the MAC this season.
BGSU has produced seven of the top outputs in program history for Academic All-MAC representation over the last eight seasons, further reinforcing the program's commitment to academic excellence.
Linebacker Gideon Lampron becomes the 23rd Falcon — and the 16th different player — to earn First-Team All-MAC and Academic All-MAC honors in the same season.
Multiple Falcons earned the honor for at least the second time in their careers, including Justin Eklund (2), Tunde Fatukasi (2), John Henderson (2), Travis Kenner (2), Nate Pabst (3), Chris Williams (2) and PaSean Wimberly (4), and others who continue to model consistency in the classroom. A number of Falcons also earned Academic All-MAC recognition for the first time, highlighting the program's growing depth of academic achievement.
To qualify for Academic All-MAC, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and participate in at least 50 percent of the team's contests. True freshmen are not eligible for the award, and transfers must complete one year of residency to be eligible.
