Bowling Green Ready to Host Falcon Invitational
October 15, 2026 | Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green continues its fall slate Friday with its second home meet of the season. The Falcon Invitational will begin at 11 a.m. with the women's 6K and at 11:45 a.m. with the men's 8K.
Before the meet begins, Falcon fans can hit the course for the Falcon Fanatics and Alumni 5K. No sign-up is necessary.
Last year, the BGSU women won the Falcon Invitational, competing against eight other teams. A top-five finisher in last year's race, Lexi Panning and the rest of the women's squad look to replicate 2025's dominant finish.
The women roll into Friday's meet after a top-ten team finish at the Paul Short Run. In a field of 315 runners, BGSU placed three runners in the top 40 and compiled 278 total points.
The men finished sixth at last year's meet, compiling 141 points. With nearly all of last year's runners returning, BGSU is positioned for an improved performance in 2026.
Seven teams will compete in the women's race, three of them MAC opponents: Ohio Dominican, Kent State, Wright State, Toledo "B", Akron and Cleveland State. Five teams will compete in the men's race, also with three MAC opponents: Kent State, Wright State, Toledo "B" and Akron.
There will be no formal awards ceremony, but awards to the top 15 individual finishers in each race will be given out at the finish line post-race.
