BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green (16-8-6, 13-6-3 CCHA) returns home for a key CCHA series with the Minnesota State Mavericks (16-9-5, 12-7-3 CCHA). Minnesota State is ranked No. 17 in the nation by USCHO, No. 16 in the new NPI (NCAA Percentage Index), and No. 17 in the USA Hockey poll. BGSU is receiving votes in the USCHO poll, ranked No. 19 in the NPI, and No. 20 in the USA Hockey poll. Puck drop on Friday is set for 7:07 p.m., while Saturday's contest begins at 6:07 p.m.

These teams met Nov. 7-8 in Mankato and split the six points, with each team winning a shootout. Each team picked up two ties as they both won a shootout.

Both teams are trying to secure home ice in the upcoming CCHA Mason Cup Playoffs. BGSU enters the week in fourth place with 43 points, while the Mavericks are in fifth place with 41 points. Augustana is in third with 45 points and St. Thomas is in second place with 47 points. Michigan Tech, who is idle this weekend, is in first place with 48 points.

Opponent Outlook
• Minnesota State is coming off a four-point weekend with Bemidji State. The Mavericks won 1-0 on Friday and lost in over time on Saturday, 1-0.
• Tristan Lemyre leads MSU with 12 goals and 23 points, while Evan Murr has a team-best 16 assists.
• Murr is second on the team with 22 points and Luigi Benincasa is third on the team with 21 points (6-15-21).
• For the second week in a row the Falcons will face of the the nation's and CCHA's top goalies in Alex Tracy. He is saving 92.6 percent of shots he is setting between the piples, while posting a 1.91 goals against average.
