February 23, 2026 | Baseball, General, Men's Basketball, Softball
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The weekly Falcons Nest Coaches Show presented by Fricker's, returns Monday night (Feb. 22) on Falcon Sports Radio Network stations with a trio of guests. The show will begin at 6 p.m. with head men's basketball coach Todd Simon joining the Voice of the Falcons, Todd Walker. Walker will then be joined by head baseball coach Kyle Hallock around 6:20 p.m. followed by head softball coach Michelle Gardner around 6:40 p.m. All three interviews will be in-person at the Bowling Green Fricker's.
This year's show will be hosted in a special room at Fricker's with a maximum capacity of 55. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure an enjoyable and timely experience for all fans, there will not be autograph opportunities — but this creates a more interactive, conversational atmosphere to connect with BGSU coaches and fans.
Fans are encouraged to submit questions by clicking HERE. You can also interact with Todd Walker on Twitter at @FalconsVoice. For fans unable to make the show in person at Fricker's, the show can be heard locally on WFRO 99.1 FM, 100.7 FM in Toledo, 1280 WONW in Defiance and 970 WFUN in Ashtabula. There will also be streams through BGSUFalcons.com and "The Varsity Network" app from Learfield Sports.
The men's basketball team heads into the week with the final two home games of the regular season on deck. The week will begin for the Falcons on Tuesday (Feb. 24) with a 7 p.m. tip against Western Michigan for a Black Out at the Stroh Center. From there, Bowling Green will stay at home to host UMass on Saturday (Feb. 28) for Senior Night, concluding the home regular season schedule.
The baseball team is coming off the program's 1,800th win all-time over the weekend, topping Western Carolina for the team's first win of the season. The Falcons will conclude their non-conference weekend this upcoming weekend with a three-game series at Samford, beginning on Friday (Feb. 27). However before that, the Orange and Brown are set for a midweek game against Cincinnati on Tuesday (Feb. 24).
As for softball, the Falcons are off to an 8-2 start to the season with five more games coming up this weekend at the Make It Happen Games. Bowling Green is set to face Illinois State and UIC on Friday (Feb. 27), Albany and Colgate on Saturday (Feb. 28) and Bethune-Cookman on Sunday (March 1) with all games being played at Madeira Beach, Fla.
