LOUISVILLE, Ky. (BGSU Strategic Communications) — Again this year, a veritable plethora of Bowling Green State University softball student-athletes have been recognized for their success in the classroom as well as on the field. No fewer than 19 Falcons have been named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes for the 2025-26 academic year.
The Falcons' total of 19 student-athletes honored this year is believed to be tied for the highest in school history. BGSU also had 19 student-athletes recognized in the 2024-25 academic year.
This year's lengthy list includes Taylor Behrendt, Ashley Chevalier, Delaney Davis, Jilliyn Gardner, Katie Hutter, Cameron Kaufman, Mackenzie Krafcik, Addie Martin, Hanna Massaro, Kendall Mathews, Ava McKee, Lexi Nolen, Izzy Ray, Quinn Rives, Alyvia Roth, Hannah Simko, Peyton Steffes and Madison Wendel.
Seniors Chevalier, Davis, Hutter and Krafcik each earned the honor for the fourth consecutive season.
Kaufman, Martin, Roth and Steffes each were recognized for the third-straight year, while Behrendt, Henney, Massaro, Mathews and McKee all earned the accolade for the second time.
Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors are bestowed upon collegiate student-athletes at all levels (NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and USCAA and Junior College). The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories.Â
To be eligible, student-athletes must have maintained a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year.
Additionally, the NFCA revealed its Easton Top GPAs lists for collegiate teams. With a cumulative GPA of 3.66 for the 2025-26 academic year, the Falcons were ranked 42nd in the country on the Division-I list.
The NFCA's announcement continues a year of tremendous success for the Falcon softball program in the classroom. Earlier this summer, a total of 11 Falcons were named to the Academic All-MAC Team, and five student-athletes were chosen to the Academic All-District Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Â
On the diamond, the 2026 Falcons went 20-29 overall, topping the previous season's win total by four. BGSU set school single-season records in walks (190), times hit by pitch (52) and runs batted in (207) while ranking second in program history in on-base percentage (.377) and stolen bases (94).
